My Person and Me!

Join us for a fun musical exploration for you and your 0-3 year olds! We hold these classes twice a month, so feel free to drop in to just one or buy a class pack for multiple My Person & Me groups!

Mr. Turkey

This activity is all about color recognition and having fun! You can hide "turkey feathers" around the house or classroom and have your children find them to put on the turkey's body. You can have one child go at a time to find a feather and as they are looking sing "Mr. Turkey, Mr. Turkey, gobbling around. Mr. Turkey, Mr. Turkey, look what I have found." When the children find different colored feathers, have them sing "Yellow feather, yellow feather, floating all around. Yellow feather, yellow feather, look what I have found." Replace "yellow" with any color feather they find. Use the PDF below for the turkey's body and feathers!

Turkey Wobble

A fun song you can move to this month is "Gobble Gobble Turkey Wobble" by Koo Koi Kangaroo! Dancing is not only a fun way to move your body, but also build connection with your children! Reach out on social media with your favorite songs to dance to!

Fall Sensory Bins

There are so many sensory bin ideas on the internet nowadays! Sensory bins allow kids to explore different textures, smells, and sights. They can help teach different topics as well such as colors, shapes, and more! Here are a few of our favorite ideas to use at home.

• Apple Cinnamon Oats!
  • This one is pretty easy and uses stuff you can find in your pantry! Get some oats, cinnamon sticks and apple slices and put them in a small bin. That’s it! While these may seem simple, you can have some fun with it by dyeing the oats with food coloring or using a combination of dried apple slices and fresh apple slices. This is a taste safe bin as well!
• Pumpkins, gourds… and soap?
  • While many people think about carving pumpkins and playing in all of the goopy seeds and insides, there is a cleaner alternative for a sensory activity! Get those pumpkins or gourds, sponges, and some soapy water to make a little pumpkin bath! To make this a taste safe option, you can use a foamy aquafaba creation instead of soap!
