My Person and Me!

Join us for a fun musical exploration for you and your 0-3 year olds! We hold these classes every week, so feel free to drop in to just one or buy a class pack for multiple My Person & Me groups!

Music Olympics!

With the 2024 Olympic Games in full swing we wanted to share some ideas of how you can incorporate music games into your home or classroom! We also included activities for older adults you can use if you work in an assisted living or skilled nursing facility! You can adapt many of these activities to work for any age group.

0-3 year olds

Color Matching - Do you have a set of desk bells or boomwhackers? Or any instrument that comes in a variety of colors? You can have your kiddos match the color you call out to an instrument in front of them! This can be done with shapes or sounds too if you have various instruments (or things that can be made into instruments like pots, spoons, etc!).

3-5 year olds

Freeze Dance - This classic game is always a big hit! Pick any favorite song and dance until the music stops!

School Ages

Drumming to "Olympic Fanfare and Theme" - Using various drums, or even body percussion, have the kids drum along to this epic piece of music! To make it a competition, play the song once or twice for them and on the next time see who can most accurately match the rhythm of the drums!

Musical Popcorn - This works best with a small group. You choose a song everyone knows the words to and have the kids stand or sit next to each other. Then start the song and pass it to a child to start singing at any point. Then choose different children to pick up the melody throughout the song! Only one kid sings at a time and the first one to mess up the lyrics on their turn is out!

Older Adults

Seated Dance - Take some notes out of Team USA's gymnastics routines to adapt to seated dances! Use some of their favorite songs and if you'd like get other people to judge. If you want, you can even give out medals or prizes for those who win!
